With only three weeks until the return of Community, NBC has now revealed a new trailer for the upcoming season.

The Lord of the Rings-esque clip suggests the show may take a darker, weirder turn this season, with creator Dan Harmon back leading the show again.

The hour-long season premiere airs Jan. 2 at 8/7c.
