With so much attention on the overwhelming number of ads for this month's high-profile film releases, there is an exception.

Filmmaker Casey Neistat had been commissioned to create an advertisement for the upcoming Ben Stiller movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Twentieth Century Fox gave him $25,000 and a theme: "live your dreams." However, Neistat took a giant left turn, opting not to feature any of the actors or film footage.

Instead, he asked Fox to allow him to spend the entire budget on disaster relief for victims of last month's Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. When the studio agreed, Neistat and his crew traveled to the hardest-hit city of Tacloban, providing more than 10,000 meals, as well as tools and medical care to 35 villages.

Neistat documented the journey in a clip seen below.
