Today, Bay Area musician Noah Kibreab is launching his new project Noah and the Arkiteks with the release of his debut single "Soul Fire."

The stunning new track and its accompanying video are premiering today on Variance. Directed by Pablo Circa, the clip shows the singer in a quiet room with his guitar allowing the stirring vocals to take center stage.

"The song 'Soul Fire' is about hanging on to love when you feel it slipping away," says Kibreab of the new track. "Wanting to stay in that place with someone where the rest of the world can't touch you. A bubble that becomes a world of it's own that only the two of you belong to."

He adds: "The song style feels the truest to what I've always felt as a writer. Not that anything I've written in the past was fake. It has just taken me a while to wipe away what I knew wasn't me deep down. It's an ongoing process. People change. Tastes change. I guess you could say I am most proud of this song. That's a place I want to be with new songs in the future."

In the song is a lyric, "See you far when you're so close." According to Kibreab, creative director ASTU was inspired by those words to have the singer and Betelihem Mulubirhan, the video's female lead, "separate but together" but having them in the same house yet in different rooms.
