Just days before the release of a new album, Kendrick Lamar is already setting personal records on the charts.
His new single "Humble" has debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the emcee his first top 10 and the highest charting solo single of his career. It tallied 110,000 downloads in its first week, along with 49.9 million streams.
Lamar scored a No. 1 as a featured artist on Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" in 2015, but he had previously not reached the top rankings on his own.
"Humble" is the second preview of Lamar's new album, which is expected to arrive this Friday (April 14).
