It turns out that much like the rest of us, former president Barack Obama couldn't stop listening to Travis Scott's "Butterfly Effect" or Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still" this past year.

Obama on Sunday continued the tradition he began during his presidency by sharing his favorite songs and books for 2017. Noting he had "some extra time on my hands this year," he said sharing the collection "was a nice way to reflect on the works that resonated with me and lift up authors and artists from around the world."

Among his favorite songs were tracks from SZA, Chance the Rapper, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, The National, Frank Ocean, Chris Stapleton, J Balvin, Daniel Caesar and Harry Styles, as well as others.

"I hope you enjoy it and have a happy and healthy new year," the beloved former president and last White House occupant known to read books, said in his final note of 2017.
