British singer Jamie Lidell returned Tuesday with a brand new single called "Walk Right Back," the first off his upcoming sixth studio album.

Building a Beginning, the followup to his 2013 self-titled record, will be released Oct. 14 on his own Jajulin Records. It was produced by Justin Stanley, who has previously worked with the likes of Prince and Beck.

Lidell says the new material is his most personal to date and a reflection of the birth of his first child, pointing to another track titled "Julian," which is inspired by his son's "energy and joy" and stemming from the desire to "write something that he wants to jump around to."
