As promised, James Blake's new EP, titled Before, has arrived.

As we previously mentioned, the four-track project was announced just a day earlier in a new Cadillac Escalade commercial, in which he was seen driving the 2021 luxury SUV while listening to a preview of the new collection of music.

After he drove into an empty hanger or warehouse, the clip then showed fans test-driving the vehicle for themselves and also hearing his new music from the speakers. They eventually made their way to the same location as Blake, who performed one of his new songs from a distance, his first performance in front of fans in many months, due to the ongoing health crisis.

The new EP is said to pay homage to Blake's London club days, with the producer returning to his roots with multiple dance floor-ready cuts while also showcasing his own evolution as an artist.

In addition to the new music, Blake has also shared a set of visuals for each track, all directed by Ryder Ripps.

Last month, he shared a full version of his cover of "Godspeed" by Frank Ocean, which was largely prompted after Blake shared a brief snippet on social media, resulting in fans asking for him to do a full cover of the song.
