Ellen Krauss has shared her second EP, titled Pearl. And it's amazing.
The new project from the 19-year-old Swedish artist arrived Friday, including her previously released tracks "Bali," "No Talk" and "Silver Spoon." The new EP is her followup to her debut First Take EP, which was released in November.
"Pearl is my treasure that I have been working on for a long time," Krauss. "It is a collection of songs that are warm to my heart, written during both good and bad moments in my life. I've been carrying the music with me for a long time and I've been looking forward to sharing them, so it feels good that it's finally time!"
Krauss is an entirely self-taught artist who began developing her musical skills when she was 4. She spent much of her youth writing songs in her bedroom in Stockholm or in South Africa—where her family occasionally lived. She is an outspoken LGBTQ and women's rights advocate who says she has drawn influence from the likes of artists such as Ed Sheeran, King Princess and Bruce Springsteen.
