Coinciding with Friday's release of her new Netflix documentary Miss Americana, Taylor Swift has shared a new song called "Only the Young," which is featured in the film.

The track also arrived today and it marks the singer's latest venture into political commentary, with the new song clearly referencing a defeat in the 2016 presidential election and the growing number of mass shootings, specifically in schools.

"They aren't gonna help us / Too busy helping themselves," she sings. "They aren't gonna change this / We gotta do it ourselves / They think that it's over / But it's just begun."
