Swedish duo SNOW CULTURE is starting the weekend with the release of new music.

The music-making pair, made up of Ana Diaz and Oskar Sikow, has shared their spellbinding new single "Treasures," which is premiering today on Variance. It's their first release of the year and it follows their 2017 debut EP1.

"When we were in the studio creating 'Treasures,' Stockholm was very dark and cold ... and I was going through it—dealing with depression and anxiety," says Diaz. "I'd read something somewhere about [how] depression can provide us with great insight into ourselves, if we stick it out, it can help us come out stronger, more self aware ... that in the deep, that darkness and difficulty there are jewels to be found. I really needed something to hold on to, I wanted a promise, that treasures were awaiting me if I kept digging. That's how 'Treasures' was created."

The new song comes as the duo has been busy working on new material, with more to come in the future.
