Los Angeles-based newcomer mehro will definitely have your attention with his new song "Lightning."
The riveting new track arrived over the weekend, the latest from the emerging talent who draws on influences such as Jeff Buckley and Conor Oberst as he showcases his incredible skillset. Coincidentally, the song is accompanied by a video which features the singer performing a dark venue with only a single stage light overhead, foreshadowing a future in which mehro is performing in arenas.
"The song is about the duality of existing: loneliness and companionship, love and fear, life and death, nights you wish could last forever, and days you wish could be forgotten," says mehro. "One summer night, I got to witness my first lightning storm, and with my experiences and outlook on life, this song was what came from me."
