The Neighbourhood's Jesse Rutherford, by Haley Appell & Lauren Leekley

The Neighbourhood continues to flesh out their upcoming album Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones.

Just three weeks after debuting the first song "Cherry Flavoured," the Jesse Rutherford-led outfit is back with an addictive new track "Devil's Advocate." Like the first song, this latest one also arrives with a video, this time featuring Rutherford taking on the persona of his new alter ego Chip Chrome.

“It’s about getting back to being a simple man rather than trying to chase a designer brand,” says Rutherford of the new song. “I’m attracted to designer stuff, diamonds, and the good life, but there’s nothing like finding greatness in the simple things.”

As we previously mentioned, the Chip Chrome & The Mono-Tones concept was initially introduced in The Neighbourhood's 2019 song "Middle of Somewhere," but it quickly became a vessel for further inspiration and the next phase of the band.

The full album is coming Sept. 25 via Columbia Records. See the new video below.
