U.K. newcomer Claudia Valentina is delivering quite an introduction today with her official debut single "Seven," out now via Republic Records.

The singer's performance on both the studio version and the accompanying live video is hauntingly perfect, with Valentina's voice undeniably anchoring the nearly four-minute track, which is brimming with the powerhouse mystique of Amy Winehouse and the effortless pop charm of Dua Lipa.

"I guess I was really in my feels that day and the lyrics kinda wrote themselves," she says. "A lot of people can relate to feeling a bit stupid for waiting up for someone, and that person never showing up. I tend to write songs about being more of a bad bitch in the driver’s seat, but it’s important to be honest and to admit to myself that I’ve been let down."

The new song follows a multi-year journey for the 20-year-old singer, who moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was a child. She eventually moved back to London, where she's been working on music and is preparing to release her first EP.
