Splitting his time between London and Brazil, MARCELØ DEISS has been exposed to a mix of different cultures, allowing his music to soak up the best of both worlds. His latest single “Horses Running” depicts a strong social and political message, bringing attention to the injustice of the system we are living in. DEISS confides, “It was movements such as Brexit, Me Too movement, Trump, Black Lives Matter and other topics that deal with oppression that got me into writing about what's currently happening in our society.”

The Brazilian born artist fuses his love for blues and indie rock to create a confident and resolute sound. Indulgent bluesy melodies and resonating guitars accompany DEISS’s compelling lyrics, adding further potency to his profound message.

DEISS acquired the help of London based dancer Jenn Vogtle, who added her stunning choreography to the new video. Dancing her way through the psychedelic montage of visuals, Vogtle brings a calming essence to the hustle and bustle. The vibrant video captures the grittiness of the streets of London, a place where DEISS has always held close to his heart. He shares, “The city has a great creative vibe and really lives up to its expectations as an inspirational hub.” Co-directed and edited by DEISS and Sergio Angot, with additional editing by Habacuque Lima, “Horses Running” perfectly depicts the juxtaposition of people going about their everyday lives, while in the middle of a political disturbance.

Hoping to further shine a light on topics that need to be addressed, MARCELØ DEISS is acting as a voice for those who can’t.
