Joy Williams of The Civil Wars confirmed Thursday on Instagram that she was in the studio with The National frontman Matt Berninger.

The two vocalists are coming off a successful year for their respective acts, with The Civil Wars' self-titled album garnering a GRAMMY win for Best Country Duo/Group Performance and The National's Trouble Will Find Me earning a Best Alternative Album nod as well.

For Williams, the photo (seen left) is another small sign that she may be turning a page in her solo career. The band's Twitter account has recently been encouraging fans to follow Williams and her fellow Wars singing companion John Paul White individually.

A Williams-Berninger collaboration is sure to be some sweet ear candy. We already love it.
