Dancing Kia Hamster Charged with Insurance Fraud

It turns out even the most innocent dancing Kia hamster can have a dark side.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leroy Barnes was arrested for a traffic violation by Los Angeles police in March and posted bail. But new information shows the 27-year-old is accused of deceiving his doctors about his employment status, collecting $51,000 in state disability insurance due to a supposed inability to work.

During that same time period between September 2010 and September 2011, Barnes starred as one of the famous Kia hamsters, formed rap group The Rej3ctz, and worked as a backup dancer for the likes of Madonna, Chris Brown and Kelly Rowland.

Barnes is now facing up to six years in prison and would have to pay back the insurance benefits as well as other legal fees.
