It's official: Donald Glover's comedy project Atlanta has earned a 10-episode series order from FX, the network revealed Thursday afternoon.
The news comes after months of development, with Glover set to play one of two cousins working their way up the Atlanta rap scene.
“Atlanta draws on Donald’s considerable talents as a musician, actor and writer to give us something unique,” said FX’s Nick Grad of Glover, who will executive produce the series.
In addition to Glover, the likes of Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Lee Stanfield and Zazie Beetz make up the ensemble cast.
Atlanta is expected to premiere sometime in mid-2016.
