Stevie Nicks took the stage Saturday night at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, marking her first performance in nearly three years, she said.
Midway through her set, she told she crowd she was going to perform a song for a friend, the late Taylor Hawkins of Foo Fighters before she launched into a live rendition of her Fleetwood Mac hit "Landslide," joined by a sea of fans singing along every word.
It was an emotional moment, and fans quickly noted it was a tender reminder and genuine way to honor the late musician and drummer, who passed away suddenly back in March.
Following Hawkins' death, Nicks posted a photo of the two and an emotional poem she wrote in his honor.
