Summerfest returned this month after last year's event was scrapped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
This year's event is being held in September rather than its usually late June, early July timeframe, as the Milwaukee fest (dubbed the world's largest music festival) postponed this year's event to allow for planning around Covid cases and vaccination rates. Attendees this year have been required to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative test upon entry, something which has become relatively standard for large-scale festivals coming back this year.
As in previous editions of Summerfest, this year's lineup covers a wide scope of artists and genres, with the likes of Miley Cyrus, Guns N' Roses, twenty one pilots and Megan Thee Stallion all scheduled to perform.
The first part of the fest has included sets from Chance the Rapper, Mötley Crüe, Weezer, Green Day and more.
