Is Beyoncé playing Nala? Yes, officially. She has joined the cast of the upcoming live-action remake of The Lion King.
Disney confirmed the news Wednesday evening, sharing the full cast, which also includes previously announced star Donald Glover, who will voice Simba, while James Earl Jones is reprising his role of Mufasa from the 1994 animated movie.
The cast will also include John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner, all of whom were previously reported. Additionally, Eric André, Keegan-Michael Key and others have signed on for the film, which expected to hit theaters in the summer of 2019.
