Larry David's incredible year continued Tuesday as HBO announced his comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm will return to the premium cable network after a five-year hiatus.

“We’re thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of Curb and can’t wait to see what he has planned,” HBO's president of programming Casey Bloys said in a statement today regarding the forthcoming ninth season.

HBO did not confirm a premiere date or any other casting information, only noting David's explanation for returning: “In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned.'"

David has been riding high this year thanks largely to his spot-on parody of Sen. Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live.

Curb Your Enthusiasm first aired on HBO in 2000, with 80 episodes over its eight seasons so far.
