The numbers are in. Taylor Swift's latest album, 1989, sold a massive 1.287 million copies in its first week, easily debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

That gives the singer her third million-plus debut, a record as no other act has ever had three million-selling weeks. All three of Swift's came from each of her most recent album release weeks: 2010's Speak Now (1.047 million), 2012's Red (1.208 million) and now 1989.

1989 is also the first album to hit the million mark since Red, way back in October 2012. And this tally gives Swift the highest sales week in over 12 years, when Eminem's The Eminem Show sold 1.322 million copies in June 2002.

As Billboard points out, the set is instantly the top-selling album released this year (crazy!), surpassing Coldplay's May release Ghost Stories, which has sold 745,000 units to date.
