Melissa McCarthy stole the show on this week's episode of Saturday Night Live, with a surprise appearance as White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

The actress spoofed Spicer's oversized suits, his combative and catty interactions with the press, his awkward laugh when he knows he's saying something untrue and his frequent use of props, such as giant posters of the inauguration crowd size and tweets printed out on paper.

The McCarthy version of Spicer introduces himself during a press briefing and then says he is apologizing—on behalf of the media to himself. "That apology is not accepted," he declares.

He goes on to describe President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee announcement, which was celebrated by a "standing ovation which lasted a whole 15 minutes." According to Spicer, "Everyone was smiling. Everyone was happy. The men all had erections. And every single one of the women was ovulating left and right ... Those are the facts forever!"

McCarthy's Spicer also gets into a back-and-forth with a New York Times reporter, saying the President's travel ban is not a ban, claiming Trump is only repeating the words he's heard in the press. It's "circular usage of words," he says before bringing out boxes of props to make his point.

It's a hilarious sketch and while Kristen Stewart was the night's host, McCarthy likely earned herself another Emmy nod for guest actress in a comedy series.
