With the premiere of Donald Glover's new series Atlanta less than a month away, FX has released six new teasers for the show.

Speaking Tuesday during the network's panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Glover said he hoped to give audiences a glimpse into "how it felt to be black," he explained, adding: "What was important to me was that this show was personal and had a specific take because that's all you can really ask for from a show nowadays, is having a specific point of view on something."

As we previously mentioned, Atlanta centers Earn Marks (played by Glover), a young manager who is trying to get his cousin Alfred Marks' (Brian Tyree Henry) rap career off the ground, while balancing real life with ambition.

Glover, who created and executive produced the series, also noted its darker perspective, explaining they tried to "create a tone in a world where things can happen, where you are allowed to laugh at the hard jokes … but you can also feel real stakes. People can get shot and die and you actually care about these characters."

He added: "I always want people to be scared because that’s kind of how it feels to be black."

Atlanta premieres Sept. 6 at 10 p.m. EST on FX. The new teasers can be seen below.
