Kendrick Lamar officially has his first solo No. 1 single, as "Humble." has climbed from No. 3 to the top spot.
While the song sold 56,000 downloads in the sales week ending April 20, it soared on streaming platforms, with a 56% jump for a total of 67.4 million U.S. streams.
As we previously mentioned, Lamar was featured on Taylor Swift's former No. 1 hit "Bad Blood," but this marks his highest chart achievement as a lead artist. Coincidentally, "Humble." knocks Swift buddy Ed Sheeran from the chart peak, as his single "Shape of You" had maintained a 12-week run at the top.
Lamar is also celebrating his full album DAMN. debuting at No. 1, giving the Compton rapper his third chart-topping LP.
