Hot Chip has a new record coming out this month, and today, they shared a new preview.

On Tuesday, their gravelly new song "Freakout/Release" arrived, and it happens to be the title track from the new album, coming Aug. 19. Last month, they shared the song "Eleanor," which we absolutely loved.

“Freakout/Release” fits easily alongside the band's past cover of Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” which is said to have kickstarted the writing process of the new LP.

Of the song, frontman Alexis Taylor says: “'Freakout/Release' is about pent-up energy and the need for release, and escape. It’s also about making sense of music, and at times being plagued by the thing you focus on—music never leaves my head for a second, which is usually a good feeling, but it can feel claustrophobic at times too. It’s also about finding your place in relation to music and to performing."
