Winnetka Bowling League continue to keep the best at making awkward relatable pop tunes, this time teaming with The Knocks for their new single "I Like to Hide in the Bathroom at Parties."

And that title alone should explain a lot! The new track follows the Matthew Koma-fronted outfit's latest after their February EP release pulp as well as The Knocks' own incredible album History, which was released in April.

Says Koma: “Ben from the Knocks and I were working on a record at the time for another artist and decided it was time for the dads to reunite and put out a song. We wrote it in Ben’s mom’s basement, where she let him set up these bunk beds after his girlfriend broke up with him. We both experience wild social anxiety but pursued lives that require being somewhat social…so it made sense to dive in on this one together. [Co-writer] Madison Love babysat us and gave us words to say to sound cool.”

The Knocks add: “Matt had this concept that we really loved and he wanted to make it feel like the anti-party party song, so we added some lo-fi funk elements and it came together nicely. There is nothing more relatable than social anxiety these days.”
