This week marks a new chapter for Daniel Caesar, who's definitely been having a moment.

On Friday, the singer debuted his new single "Please Do Not Lean," a poignant new cut in which he pleads with someone he cares about, suggesting they even turn to another man if necessary. "Please do not lean on me / I'm unstable," he sings.

The track arrives as Caesar heads into weekend 2 of Coachella. Earlier this month, he joined Justin Bieber and Giveon in Las Vegas to perform Bieber's hit single "Peaches" at the Grammy Awards, where the track was up for four nominations. It recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving Caesar his first chart-topper. Now, he's signed a new deal with Republic Records, with more music forthcoming.

“‘Please Do Not Lean’ represents a deeper understanding of myself and acknowledging the responsibilities I currently hold," says Caesar of the new track. "Respecting them and knowing my limits of when I can take on more. This is an introduction to the sound and tone of the next chapter in my career.”
