A posthumous album by DMX has been released, titled Exodus.

Prior to the album's release on Friday, Swizz Beatz, who executive produced the record, released a statement about the choice to release the project.

"My brother X was one of the most purest and rare souls I’ve ever met," says Swizz Beatz. "He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.”

The album features a number of guest appearances from the likes of Alicia Keys, Bono, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Usher, Moneybagg Yo, Kanye West, and DMX’s son Exodus Simmons.

DMX passed away last month of an apparent drug overdose and heart attack. He was 50 at the time of his death.
