Los Angeles duo Magic Bronson have just released their candid new single “My Baby is an Android.” It’s not always easy to admit our faults and yet Magic Bronson are openly discussing their not-so-healthy addiction to technology in the new track. Through a light-hearted, whimsical approach, they speak about how artificial intelligence has quite simply taken over our lives, even if we don’t realise it. Who needs to be in a relationship when we can just chat to Siri and Alexa?

“My Baby is an Android” is a perfect example of the band’s love to combine experimental sounds with unordinary melodies and lyrics on current affairs. An unlikely fusion, they’re always thinking outside the box and hoping to break down barriers, concocting something that transports you to a futuristic universe. Delivering an honest reminder, Lieberman shares, “We spend more time with our phones and those AI voices then we do with our significant others or family.”

Magic Bronson, AKA Michael Nicastro (vocals, synths, drum programming, production) and Matthew Lieberman (lyrics, bass, synths) have made notoriety in the Los Angeles music scene, performing at some of the top venues across the city. Loved by listeners for their explosive and dynamic live performances, we can only hope that venues start opening up soon, so we can experience it for ourselves.
