Emerging singer Sarah Barrios is heading into the weekend with the release of her debut Letters I Never Sent EP, a project which proves she's absolutely one to watch right now.

While it's only four songs, it's a perfect introduction to the artist, who grew up in Torrington, Connecticut, and was part of a musical family. She only began releasing music earlier this year, with "Mourn the Living" being one of the standout tracks, an emotional offering which has a slight Radiohead "Creep" undercurrent to it.

The new project also includes the deeply personal song "Emotional," for which Barrios has shared an accompanying video, which also arrived today alongside the full EP.

“I’ve always felt like a person who has a lot of feelings, a lot of the time and that kind of emotional whiplash can be pretty overwhelming," says Barrios. "I got to the point where I was just like, why am I like this? Why does everything feel so intense all the time?"

She continues: "Sometimes, no matter how well a conversation goes or a relationship ends, we find ourselves thinking about all the things we left unsaid. I am a storyteller at heart, and I had so many moments and words, pain and guilt left hanging in the balance, I felt like I really needed to share this story and how it re-shaped my view of the world and how I interact with it.”
