Fly By Midnight is kicking off a new chapter with a new song, perhaps under different circumstances than they might have originally expected.
The duo made up of singer-songwriter Justin Bryte and producer-songwriter Slavo released their new song "LA Lonely" on Friday. It's their first release since relocating from New York to Los Angeles back in January. As if adjusting to their new surroundings wasn't enough, they moved to the West Coast just weeks before the current health crisis took everyone by surprise and shut down much of the country.
According to the pair, the recent life changes inspired the new track. But under the quarantine, it's likely all that much more relatable, with its smooth, breezy melody, which has an almost Drake "Passionfruit" vibe from the outset. The new song follows Fly By Midnight's recent album Happy About Everything Else..., which was released in November.
