On Friday, singer-songwriter KaiL Baxley will release his impressive new album Beneath the Bones. But's he giving fans a chance to hear it a bit early.

The brilliant, 10-track record is premiering today on Variance ahead of the official arrival tomorrow. The album, his third so far, includes his previously released standout tracks "In Lieu Of" and "These Arms Are Open," as well as the breathtaking title track, which is the perfect anchor for the set.

“This is my gritty midtown Los Angeles record," says Baxley of the new album. "It’s intentional, raw and honest. I was flat on my back when I wrote these songs. This is a snapshot of that time period. It’s my first fully self-produced effort and it was pieced together by a village of my greatest friends. I couldn’t have done it without their individual efforts. It was an incredible lesson on the power of community, love and now gratitude. When in doubt, throw caution to the wind and let the music guide you. It’s the only compass."

In addition to the new music, Baxley has begun a weekly residency at the Alibi Palm Springs, where he'll be performing live through the month of March.
