Emerging artist Julian Daniel might have a summer favorite on his hands.

The 19-year-old Toronto artist has released his new single "Supernova," a collaboration with Vidya, which they wrote earlier this year, inspired by ideas of growing up and evolving. And evolve it did—into a summery cut about a one-night stand.

"Being young and experiencing things for the first time is a major aspect of getting older and maturing," says Daniel of the new song. "It’s okay to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation. You just gotta be mentally prepared for it. Go in with an open mind."

"Supernova" comes ahead of Julian Daniel's upcoming debut EP, expected later this year.
