She had been teasing new stuff in recent weeks. And on Monday, she delivered.

BANKS is back with a tantalizing new single called "Gimme." The simmering new cut arrived today, premiering first on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show.

"'Gimme' is a song about getting what you want," she says of the track, which was co-produced by fellow Variance favorite Hudson Mohawke and BJ Burton. "It’s about knowing what you deserve, saying it out loud, and demanding it with no apologies. I’m ready to release this into the world and begin a new chapter."

The singer went relatively quiet in 2018 after her 2017 single "Underdog," which followed her albums The Altar and Goddess, released in 2016 and 2014, respectively. And it seems this "new chapter" starts today with "Gimme."
