Emerging singer Kyler Slater is back after more than a year of silence, having released his new song "Not Enough" on Friday.

The track follows his 2017 release "Stay Away" and it finds the singer openly discussing feelings of inadequacy, partly inspired by his youth, living in and out of homelessness with an abusive father and drug-addicted mother.

"It’s a song based on feelings that I’ve had at the darkest times," says Slater of the new track. "Feelings that I made myself feel, that other people made me feel, it's about feeling like whatever you are or achieve, it's just never, ever, enough."

"Not Enough" is the first from Slater's upcoming Torn Tapes EP series and you can hear the song in the video below.
