With so much going on in the world right now, Elderbrook is coming in with a lighter anthem, his new single "My House," which makes for a perfect weekend jam, especially ahead of the long holiday weekend in the States.

The U.K. producer-singer is gearing up for his debut album WHY DO WE SHAKE IN THE COLD?, which he confirmed today will be out Sept. 4 via Big Beat/Parlaphone Records. Leading up to the record is the massive new cut "My House," which is accompanied by a video shot in Shanghai.

“I wrote this in lockdown," he says. "I was in my cabin studio at the bottom of my garden and looked out and saw my house…when I started the song I thought it would be in the same context as ‘Our House’ by Crosby, Stills Nash and Young. All about how much I loved spending time in my house. When I started writing it, it took on a completely different meaning."

He continues: "The song focuses on how a lot of people, if not most, always want the next bigger, better thing. Never being happy with what they’ve got. The other side to the lyrics of this song is that a lot of people never stop acting like children ... ‘I know you are but what am I’ and the whole ‘I want’ culture. Another theme running through is my own experience with childhood and not fitting in anywhere."

The new music follows Elderbrook's recent single "Numb" as well as his standout collaboration with Rudimental, "Something About You," which has skyrocketed to No. 1 on the U.S. dance radio charts.
