Swiss New York-based singer Sam Koechlin (aka Sam Himself) is getting ready to release a new EP next month, but before then, he has shared his new single "Slow Drugs."

The translucent new track arrived Friday with an accompanying video. It's the title track off the upcoming EP, which is out May 29.

"'Slow Drugs' began with a particular person and experience in mind," says Koechlin. "But the song kept growing in scope until it became this jubilantly morose ode to a whole period of my life when I craved some sort of medicine against the unbearable slowness of time spent alone."
