Rising artist Sara Lewis (aka KIITA) is planning a new EP and she's just shared the first single in the form of "Messed Up."

The rowdy new track comes with an extravagant accompanying video, showing the 16-year-old Columbus, Ohio artist is clearly a force to be reckoned with—now and in the coming months.

"I wanted to create a song that not only expresses the feeling of betrayal, but the feeling of satisfaction when karma comes into play," she says of the song, which is the first from her sophomore ANTHEMOESSA EP, expected to arrive in September.

While "Messed Up" is definitely a detour from the usual cookie cutter pop, KIITA finds herself rising as artists such as Billie Eilish and overs have proven that's perfectly OK. And it seems KIITA is intent on kicking that door open even further.
