The wait for Death Cab for Cutie's eighth studio record now seems much shorter, as the band confirmed they are finally back in the studio again.
The news follows frontman Ben Gibbard's solo shows and his Postal Service reunion. The band confirmed the progress of its follow-up to 2011's Codes and Keys with an Instagram update that included the hashtag "#inthestudio."
Death Cab's 2003 album, Transatlanticism, turns 10 years old this month and is being re-released in a special anniversary package on Oct. 29.
