Not long after HBO announced plans to offer a stand-alone, non-cable subscription service next year, Netflix revealed it will carry all 10 seasons of Friends beginning Jan. 1, 2015.

Warner Bros. head Kevin Tsujihara followed HBO's reveal in the same investor meeting Wednesday morning, announcing the studio has licensed all 236 episodes of Friends to Netflix for the U.S. and Canada.

Netflix's stock took a dive Wednesday morning following HBO's big news.
