Update: A rep for Eminem and Dr. Dre disputes claims of a reunion tour, telling Rolling Stone they have no plans to tour together nor with N.W.A.

With the release of N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton only weeks away, Universal Pictures is attempting to reunite the pioneering hip-hop group for a special European tour.

Universal chief Donna Langley told The Hollywood Reporter they "don’t have anything settled yet with everyone’s schedules ... but we think it can create a lot of buzz.”

The plan would be for Eminem, Dr. Dre's protégé and longtime collaborator, to fill in as an honorary member in place of Eazy-E, who died in 1995.

Straight Outta Compton hits theaters on Aug. 14.
