Nipsey Hussle has died. He was killed Sunday afternoon in a shooting outside his Marathon Clothing store in Los Angeles.
"Today we lost a great musician, Nipsey Hussle," said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti's Crisis Response Team in a statement Sunday night, noting it was "offering support to the family."
According to Los Angeles police Lt. Chris Martinez, the rapper and entrepreneur, who was 33, was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the Marathon store, at around 3:25 p.m. PST. He was pronounced dead the hospital.
Sadly, Los Angeles Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff confirmed he was actually scheduled to meet with the rapper along with representatives from Jay-Z's label and agency Roc nation to discuss "ways he could help stop gang violence and help us help kids."
In his last tweet, Hussle said: "Having strong enemies is a blessing."
