Update: Festival organizers confirmed late Thursday afternoon Jay Z has been added as a headliner, joining the roster below. The lineup poster has been updated to reflect the change.
Austin City Limits Music Festival announced its 2017 lineup bright and early Thursday morning, with The Killers, Chance the Rapper, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gorillaz topping the bill for this year's 16th annual installment.
Also on the roster for the two-weekend event are Martin Garrix, The xx, Ice Cube, Ryan Adams, Solange, Run the Jewels, Foster the People, Spoon, ZHU, Tove Lo, Portugal. The Man, A$AP Ferg, Skepta and more.
Additionally, the lineup includes Glass Animals, Cut Copy, Royal Blood, Russ, D.R.A.M., The Revivalists, Danny Brown, James Vincent McMorrow, BadBadNotGood, MUTEMATH, Car Seat Headrest, BROODS, Benjamin Booker, Whitney, Muna, Jacob Banks, Thundercat, The Lemon Twigs, Bibi Bourelly, Missio, Mondo Cozmo, Skip Marley, COIN, Parker Millsap, Jamila Woods, Midland and more.
As usual, ACL shares some acts (i.e. The Killers, Chance the Rapper) with its sister fest, Lollapalooza in Chicago, which is set for Aug. 3-6. But there's still plenty of variation, such as with the Chili Peppers, whose only other North American festival is Bonnaroo next month. Meanwhile, Jay Z's 2017 schedule includes only his own Budweiser Made in America Festival in September.
This year's ACL Festival is set for Oct. 6-8 and Oct. 13-15 at Austin's Zilker Park. As we previously mentioned, tickets go on sale today (May 4) at 10 a.m. CST. The full lineup can be seen below.
