London’s Samuel Jack has lived a colourful life, with a film director as a father and many years spent growing up in Johannesburg, the vibrancy of his youth bleeds into his music. His latest single ‘Feels Like Summer’ is the perfect example of the songwriters effervescent background and today we are premiering the new remix by Lhotse. 

With stomping percussion, luminous synths and soaring vocals, the remix bursts with energy creating a dance-worthy hit sure to get you on your feet. ‘Feels Like Summer’, which has been titled ‘the perfect summer anthem’ emits positivity through both it’s uplifting lyrics and feel-good melodies. 

Jack reveals, “There’s definitely a sense of nostalgia about the whole song. I wrote it at a time when I needed those good times to see me through some stuff. Music can totally transcend time and space and take you to all sorts of places when you’re not exactly where you want to be. That’s what this song is for me. It takes me back, it takes me forward, it takes me through”.

The acclaimed songwriter succeeds in delivering honest songwriting, combined with organic and explosive instrumentation and now the new remix allows audiences to hear Jack from a different perspective. Lhotse shares, “The minute I heard the track it resonated with me, lyrically and musically, and I wanted to really bring the brass out and let it sing just as much as Sams vocal, playing them off each other over some classic house piano vibes”.
