Nashville alt-rock outfit Stereo Specter has released an intense video for their new single "Animal."

The vivid set of visuals arrived Friday and are premiering on Variance, serving as a preview of the band's upcoming new material.

"The 'Animal' video was very ambitious and hard to make," says frontman Jordan Dean, who has previously worked behind the scenes as a songwriter on Music Row. "I wanted to film a '70s/'80s campy, B-movie slasher homage, which was pretty much my head space while writing the song … But I had no idea how much work would go into shooting that many scenes. It's pretty much a short film! In the end, it's just a testament to all my super talented friends that devoted their time just for the love of their art."
