French police have arrested 17 individuals suspected of being linked to an armed robbery of Kim Kardashian-West last October in a luxury Paris apartment.

Officials said Monday the suspects had been detained in five different French cities. They were being interrogated today and could be either released or held for an additional 96 hours.

Shortly after the incident, authorities said they believed Kardashian had been robbed by at least two men posing as police officers. They held her at gunpoint and reportedly got away with as much as $10.5 million in jewelry and other valuables.

As we previously reported, Kim's husband Kanye West was performing stateside at the Meadows Music and Arts Festival, but he left mid-show and flew to Paris. Both he and Kardashian have made only limited public appearances in recent months.

Police said today DNA samples found in the apartment led to the arrests.

Update: The Associated Press reported later on Monday that 17 suspects—not 16—had been arrested.
