It's time for the weekend. And Lil Uzi Vert have blessed us with a new version of "The Way Life Goes," now featuring Nicki Minaj.

While the remix arrived late Thursday (technically Friday at midnight), the original appears on Lil Uzi Vert's recent debut album Luv Is Rage 2. The impressive, 16-track record arrived back in August and debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. charts.

"The Way Life Goes" features a sample of British duo Oh Wonder's 2015 track "Landslide." And the duo was quick to express approval of the new version: "We’re singing on a tune with Nicki Minaj," the pair tweeted earlier Thursday. "This isn’t how we imagined our lives would pan out... but we’re up for it!"

Shortly after the original song's release over the summer, Minaj shared a video of herself listening to it, urging Uzi to "make this a single, send me the beat, and quit playin,” suggesting she wanted to jump on the track herself.

This isn't the first time Minaj asked to appear on a song she liked. Earlier this year, she praised gospel singer Tasha Cobbs' song "I'm Getting Ready" and hinted at wanting to contribute a verse, which she ultimately did on the final version included on Cobbs' recent album.
