Emerging Brooklyn artist Peter Wise has released a velvety new track "Sandcastle State of Mind."

It's a sultry, seemingly whimsical song, but it dives deep. "She’s a model by day, she’s a lover by the end of the night," Wise sings in one of the verses. "She’ll take whatever and whoever if it’s giving her the thrill of her life."

According to the singer, "Sandcastle" is an "introspective song about the battle between self versus society: a frustration in the dichotomy between the founding principles one was built on versus the principles that seem to govern the culture at large."
