As they continue promoting their newest album Sunlit Youth, Local Natives have turned to another artist's catalog, releasing a studio cover of Kanye West's "Ultralight Beam."

The band recorded the track back in July but they said on Twitter the Wednesday release was timely because of a need for "peace [and] serenity now more than ever.”

It's definitely difficult to match the powerful original, with guest appearances from The-Dream, Kelly Price, Kirk Franklin and Chance The Rapper. But Local Natives' rendition is impressive.

The cover is part of Spotify's new "Singles" series. Hear it below.
